Desktop GUI Overview

The desktop GUI is an operator workstation application for managing VNetArmor through Managerd.

Workstation requirements

Requirement	Recommendation
Network	Access to Managerd management endpoint.
Certificates	CA, client certificate, and client private key for mTLS.
Access	Operator account or approved credential workflow.

Common workflow

1. Add a Managerd server such as manager01.example.local:9443.
2. Configure CA and client certificate paths.
3. Test connection.
4. View Core status.
5. Inspect events or trigger reload actions where permitted.

Best practices

• Store private keys securely.
• Do not share operator certificates.
• Use separate certificates per operator or workstation.
• Revoke lost or compromised certificates.
